Bio
Growing up in Des Moines, Iowa, I was encouraged in artistic pursuits from a very early age; at Christmas and birthdays, when other children were getting G.I. Joe’s and bicycles, I got crayons, oil pastels and colored pencils.
My artistic education continued throughout primary and secondary school, where my concentrations centered around illustration (both digital and analog) and ceramic sculpture.
At the University of Iowa, I enrolled in a Printmaking class in the Spring of 1999, where I first discovered my passion for minimal, abstract, and conceptual art.
Since 1999, I have been exploring a single (5×5) idea through drawings, prints and sculpture.
I now live in Portland, Oregon with my wife, Sarah.
